Are my photos private, and how do I delete them?

Your uploaded photos and generated videos are stored as private account files rather than published to a public gallery, and you can remove them manually through Settings → Files. Because automatic timed deletion is not enabled, your files remain in your account until you delete them or they are removed after contacting support for help.

How uploaded photos and videos are handled

When you upload a picture that meets our photo requirements and consent guidelines, both the source image and the finished MP4 are stored as private account files. They are not published to a public gallery by default, and you can open My videos or check our download help whenever you want to access your completed clips.

Generating a video requires external processing. Under our privacy policy, selected photos are sent for AI generation, input photos and generated videos pass through content moderation, and approved clips go through soundtrack processing. Where applicable, service operations involve Cloudflare, SeeAPI (Seedance 2.0), fal.ai, and Waffo.

While AI Rumpelstiltskin does not train its own AI models on your uploads, third-party providers operate under their own separate retention rules. Because external services handle processing, we cannot promise absolute security or a blanket no-training guarantee across every outside provider.

How to delete your files vs. your account

Automatic timed deletion is not enabled on user uploads. Your photos and generated videos remain in your account until you remove them through your account controls or they are removed through a completed deletion request.

Use the appropriate setting depending on what you want to remove:

  • Settings → Files: Deletes the stored photos and generated video files in your account.
  • Settings → Security: Deletes your account and authentication records, but does not necessarily erase all stored media files or payment records.

To remove your stored site files, delete them in Settings → Files before closing your account in Settings → Security. Because site file or account deletion cannot guarantee that all external provider copies are removed, contact support about any remaining provider-held copies.
